Completed under the direction of main contractor Transdeco, in partnership with sub-contractor Mkhulu Electro Distribution Projects cc, the project involved the successful erection of 69 towers, comprising the 515, 518, 524, and 528 series.
Additionally, 42 kilometers of power lines were meticulously strung. This collaborative effort significantly strengthened Eskom’s power distribution infrastructure, underscoring the effectiveness and expertise of Transdeco and Mkhulu Electro.
The project’s conclusion represents a notable achievement in enhancing the reliability and capacity of Eskom’s electricity distribution network, ultimately benefiting the communities it serves.

The Challenge :
There were several challenges that the project team may have faced during the erection of 69 towers and stringing 42 kilometers of the line for Eskom in 2005. Some of these challenges could include:
